Election Calendar 2023
July 5th - Code deadline for resolutions specifying elective offices to be filled,
the number of words in the candidate statement, whether the candidate or the district will pay, if prepayment to the district is required and publication preference. (125th day prior to election date)
July 17th - August 11th -Nomination period - all candidates must circulate and file nomination documents with Omochumne Hartnell Water District no later than 88 days prior to prior to the election.
August 11th - All nomination documents and any candidate statements must be filed by 5:00 pm August 11th. (88 days prior to election)
August 11th - August 16th - Nomination period extended for any qualified person other than the
incumbent, if the incumbent has not filed nomination papers by 5 :00 pm on August 11th.
August 16th - If there are insufficient or no nominees by August 16th and a petition has not been filed requesting an election, appointments shall be made to the offices per EC 10515. (83 days prior to election)
November 7th - Election Day
