Cosumnes Subbasin Online Public Meeting

Now is a critical time to get involved in the groundwater management plan for the Cosumnes Subbasin!


The local Groundwater Sustainability Agencies (GSAs) will provide an update of their plan for managing groundwater in the Cosumnes Subbasin at a virtual public workshop in late March. The meeting will be an opportunity for residents, including those who rely on wells for their water, to understand and comment on proposals that will govern how groundwater is used for the next two decades in the Cosumnes watershed.

In accordance with the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA), a Groundwater Sustainability Plan (GSP) is being developed for the South American Subbasin (SASb).  The SASb is located in Sacramento County, bounded by the American, Sacramento and Cosumnes Rivers.
